30-40 Hours per week; TERM POSITION ENDING JUNE 30th 2024 Job Summary Bernalillo County Home Visiting Work Group Coalition (BCHVWG) is searching for a talented and professional healthcare champion for Early Childhood Home Visitation community outreach and educational to conduct community outreach activities.
You will represent the BCHVWG Coalition and Early Childhood and Education Care Department (ECECD) and work with the steering committee to develop and implement initiatives.
The ideal candidate is required to be self-motivated, enthusiastic, and community-driven to take on this exciting role.
This position requires someone equipped with a positive attitude and readiness to create awareness about home visitation in the community.
The outreach conducted by the contractor shall consist of a group-based campaign, which includes attending and presenting at events and meetings hosted by clinics, hospitals, and pediatric associations, and door-to-door campaigning that involves in-person visits to centers, offices, and hospitals.
BCHVWG Coalition is an early childhood coalition based in Bernalillo County consisting of over fifty-seven (57) organizations.
The contracted individual will conduct marketing outreach to increase healthcare professionals' awareness about Early Childhood Home Visitation and early intervention (FIT) programs within Bernalillo County.
The outreach shall consist of building connections with the health community and improving relationships with approximately twenty-two (22) clinics, nineteen (19) group-based pediatric offices, twenty-six (26) individual pediatric practices, nineteen (19) obstetricians and nineteen (19) hospitals, through periodic in-person meetings to ensure that the information about Early Childhood Home Visitation and early intervention (i.
e.
, FIT program) is disseminated.
Duties and
Responsibilities:
Introduce and increase community awareness and mobilization around Early Childhood Home Visitation by interpreting program services.
Ability to use effective communication skills with a high level of professional discretion is required to network with healthcare professionals.
Project a professional image as demonstrated by neat physical appearance.
Research and identify potential partnerships or methods for engagement with the Bernalillo County health community that could benefit from home visiting.
Maintain a calendar of outreach events, including appearances, and other communication opportunities, and work closely with community partners to plan and execute various outreach community events.
Coordinate meetings at Bernalillo County healthcare facilities and clinics to visit in person or virtually based on healthcare professionals' preferences.
Increase visibility and understanding of the system-wide work done with home visitation by giving educational presentations and meetings at healthcare facilities and clinics that promote physical and mental health for our children and their families.
This shall include a description of ECECD home visiting and early intervention programs and services, along with BCHVWG Coalition instructions on how to refer families to those programs.
Engage the healthcare team and provide the procedures on how to refer families to these programs.
Assist ECECD in preparing and developing marketing materials on home visiting and early intervention services for healthcare professionals.
All materials must be approved by ECECD and Bernalillo County Home Visiting Work Group prior to dissemination.
The outreach coordinator shall track meeting attendance, including the profession for each meeting participant (e.
g.
, office staff, physician assistant, pediatrician).
Within (3) days of the meeting, the community outreach coordinator shall send an email to participants with copies of materials presented at each educational outreach meeting and a link to the post-meeting survey.
Responsible for tracking and maintaining promotional items, and educational and marketing materials, that impact all lines of community outreach.
Maintain a record of the number of families referred from each healthcare facility before and after outreach.
Utilizes high-level professional concepts.
Effectively develop and build high-level meaningful, collaborative relationships and opportunities with the BCHVWG Coalition Steering Committee and the healthcare community, to promote and maximize the number of home visitation client referrals from medical professionals (obstetricians/pediatricians and office staff).
Create a comprehensive tracking system to report daily with reporting tool to demonstrate office visits and results.
Must demonstrate sales ability, initiative, and innovation to work with medical professionals to obtain face time and leave literature for their patients.
Perform all other duties deemed necessary by BCHVWG Coalition Steering Committee.
Communicate with the BCHVWG Coalition Steering Committee and coordinator on the project's progress, as required, but no less than every two weeks.
Knowledge of regulations and Public Health Policies, Code of Conduct, and all privacy and data guidelines relevant to the state and federal laws and regulations.
The contractor must submit a detailed statement accounting for all services performed and expenses incurred.

Strong presentation and public speaking experience Excellent project management and organizational skills Excellent time Management Experience managing multiple projects at a time Marketing skills to include ability to develop recruitment materials Preferred Qualifications Detail-oriented Experience with sales Knowledge of home visitation services and/or providers for early childhood High energy, friendly, enthusiastic, and motivated with a positive attitude Ability to think creatively Performance Measures Performance will be evaluated using the following metrics.
Increase in the number of families who are referred to Early Childhood home visiting and early intervention programs by clinics, pediatric offices, and/or healthcare providers in Bernalillo County.
The Contractor shall, in collaboration with ECECD, create and distribute a survey that shall be sent to healthcare professionals within three (3) days of the educational outreach meeting.
The results from the surveys will be sent to ECECD at the end of the project.
The Contractor shall submit invoices to the designated person at YDI, who in turn will send them to the ECECD Program Manager by the 15th of each month.
With each monthly invoice submitted, include the attendance sheet for meetings that occurred within that month.
Survey Results:
Healthcare professionals who attend the outreach meeting(s) will be provided with a post-meeting survey to evaluate whether they feel more equipped to provide information to the families they serve about home visiting and early intervention.
The Contractor shall submit a final report on a template provided by ECECD by June 30, 2024.
